StoryWalk at Vernal Pool Trail

StoryWalk at Vernal Pool Trail

StoryWalk® is an opportunity to share a book with your children (or grandchildren) as you wander from page to page down a nature trail. Celebrate the joy of reading and the great outdoors! Salamander Sky, introduces readers to the elusive spotted salamanders and the journey they take each spring. You can find the Vernal Pool Trail located on the northeast corner of the Eddy Elementary School grounds. The trail can be accessed by parking in the far lot and walking north toward the Vernal Pool Trail kiosk.  This trail is ONLY open when school is closed – so the summer months are a perfect time to visit.  You can see a close up of the map HERE! The StoryWalk® Project.  Learn more about StoryWalk® HERE.  (This StoryWalk is CLOSED and will reopen this next spring!)

Throughout the year a ramp leading from the deck to a footpath approaching a small pond surrounded by shrubby greenery. All this […]

Fall 2024 Newsletter

This story started three generations ago when Ralph and Blanche Doble purchased over 70 acres along Satucket Rd. in 1955. Summer after summer, the couple’s son, five daughters, and 18 grandchildren would visit. Over the years, the land was subdivided and each Doble child received a house lot of approximately ten acres. The daughters each […]
