The Brewster Conservation Trust (BCT) is seeking a highly motivated individuals to fill the following positions. Founded in 1983, BCT’s mission is to preserve open space, natural resources, and the rural character of Brewster and to promote a conservation ethic. The Trust acquires land by gift or purchase, helps landowners restrict development of their property, and partners with the Town of Brewster and other organizations to encourage sound conservation practices.
Communications and Outreach Coordinator
Position Overview: The Communications and Outreach Coordinator is responsible for overseeing external communications related to mission, programming, and fundraising, and to organize and implement outreach programming and events. The position is office bases and involves attendance at meetings and some evening and weekend commitments. This position reports to the Executive Director but works closely with the Chair of the Communications Committee and the Brewster Conservation Trust Board of Trustees, through its President.

Land Stewardship Summer Intern
Position Overview: The Land Stewardship Summer Intern will work independently or with BCT volunteer teams to assist in stewarding BCT properties under the supervision of the BCT Land Stewardship Coordinator. This position includes both field and office work and will include projects such as: Trail maintenance to accommodate public access/use (mowing, weed whacking, etc.); Restoring plant and wildlife habitat; managing invasive plant species; Helping to organize and implement outreach activities and events
This is a great opportunity for individuals who are currently or will be enrolled (2023-24) in a bachelor's program in natural sciences, environmental studies, land conservation or a related field; and want to gain hands on experience working in the field of conservation.
