Celebrate Summer Solstice at Windmill Meadow
FAMILY FUN STORYWALK® AND SNACK!
Windmill Meadows - Drummer Boy Park Saturday, June 18 at 10 am
Walk down the path through Windmill Meadows and discover birds, bees, and maybe butterflies or ladybugs enjoying the meadow as we read a story about the longest day of the year. We will learn why this day in June is so long and what some people around the world do to celebrate this special day that marks the beginning of summer. Once we reach the middle of the meadow, we will enjoy the shade of a giant cherry tree, have a snack, and sip on cold lemonade and peach tea. Children are invited to stay for a solstice themed craft, explore on the meadow trail, or head over to the playground to enjoy the day.
This walk is fun for all ages, especially kids ages 4 to 10.
Please NO DOGS on this walk.
