Brewster Conservation Day is an annual educational fair sponsored by the Town of Brewster, Brewster Historical Society and  Brewster Conservation Trust.
ABOUT:
Starting in 2012, the Town and Brewster Conservation Trust sponsored a Day to celebrate the community’s natural resources and organizations dedicated to saving them. With over 40 unique presentations, kids learn from interactive exhibits on aquaculture, natural plant gardening, and water resources.  Special activities include seeing local catch at the Fisherman’s Alliance,  Trevor the Juggler,  and the AmeriCorps Puppet Show.  Kids of all ages learn about ocean resources, coastal erosion, herring migration, whale rescue, and alternative energy and septic systems.  While at Drummer Boy Park, families can tour the blacksmith shop and the windmill, see a fishing weir, and enjoy Brewster oysters.  Sponsored by the Brewster Conservation Trust, the Town of Brewster Conservation, Natural Resources Department and the Brewster Historical Society
NOTE:  BCD 2021 will be a hybrid with a combination of scheduled, in -person activities, self guided activities, and virtual offerings.

The daughters each […]

Spring 2024 Newsletter

Sometimes the right place and the right time come together. In a community where housing is in short supply, this is indeed good news. Brewster’s zoning in the 1980’s established large building lots that slowed the unmanageable growth of the time but are now impeding the development of sorely needed workforce housing. Today’s Brewster needs […]
