Across Brewster, BCT's commitment to stewardship is reviving diverse and thriving ecosystems. By removing invasive plants and replacing them with native species, we are restoring the landscape to its natural state. This creates more biodiverse ecosystems that host pollinator species, increase resilience, and combat climate change.

Holland Meadow

A vibrant wildflower meadow now occupies the land where an unwanted building once stood. By directly cultivating native flowering plant species on this vacant lot, BCT is thwarting invasives, providing wildlife habitat, and supporting biodiversity.

Hay Conservation Center

By stretching a grass lawn and planting native wildflower seed, BCT created a productive landscape meadow with new clean native plant species. This thriving ecosystem now supports birds, bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects.

Dowling Meadow

Woodly invaders like Wisteria and Bittersweet dominate many of the woodlots on the Lower Cape. BCT is reclaiming this parcel by persistently removing those roots so native wildflowers can take hold, pollinators thrive, and a meadow emerges.
